Member Marathon Wrap-up
City Strike forces venue switch for TBI member marathon breakfast
The Member Marathon breakfast touched down at Toronto City Hall in June, with seven TBI members giving presentations on their up-and-coming businesses. The breakfast was held in the City Hall council chambers, shifting from its usual Metro Hall location. The shift was a by-product of the city strike. That being said, the chamber was fairly full on what turned out to be a very intimate breakfast session.

On Wednesday June 23, 2009, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty gave his cabinet a slight makeover.

TBI BIO 2009 Wrap-Up

While the state of Georgia doesn’t rank among the biggest biotech hotbeds in the U.S., BIO 2009 was a coming-out party of sorts for the Peach State. More than 14,000 attendees descended upon the Georgia World Congress Center for the conference, despite the economic recession, many left Atlanta with the idea that Georgia could one day be a key player in the biotech space.
TBI Mentorship Program
The TBI Mentorship Program will officially launch on September 17, 2009 at the TBI breakfast meeting, coinciding with the start of Canadian National Biotechnology Week. The program will be open to professionals in science and business at any stage in their career.
