Adi M. Treasurywala
President
After obtaining his PhD in the synthesis of Natural Products at UBC Adi joined Ayerst Laboratories in Montreal and was responsible for starting the first industrial computational chemistry group in Canada. In 1983 he moved with that company to Princeton New Jersey as the head of the computational chemistry group. At Ayerst, Adi became involved with projects in several different therapeutic areas and was responsible for the design of the anti-diabetic drug Tolrestat. Tolrestat is one of the early examples of a commercial substance that has evolved through the participation of computer-assisted molecular design. Dr. Treasurywala has served in various capacities at Ayerst Laboratories, Sterling Winthrop, Allelix Biopharmaceuticals Inc, and Pfizer and recently as the CEO of OncoDynamics Inc., Protagenic Therapeutics Inc., and CELLutions Biosystems Inc. For approximately the last 5 years, Dr. Treasurywala has served as the Chief Operating Officer of the University of Toronto Innovations Foundation (UTIF) and simultaneously as Director of Business Development at the University of Toronto. He is currently the founder and Principal of ArrowCan Partners and a co-founder of PARScor Inc. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Toronto Biotechnology Initiative (TBI). He has over 25 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry with a proven track record in establishing and leading multidisciplinary and multinational teams to success. Throughout his career, Dr. Treasurywala has retained a strong commitment to contributing to the success of the teams with which he has been associated.
